Not really, but that doesn't mean anything because I don't go the
Chinese language sites often. The only problem I encounter is on
newsgroup when some people post using different method of character
encoding, but I can usually solve the problem. If you can give an
example of the site that givs you trouble, maybe we can see what might
the problem be.
One thing you could try is use NJStar Communicator, it probably has
more options for selecting the type of encoding. The most common
types are GB and Big5, but some people use Unicode (UTF). The newer
version is a bit annoying because there is a delay before it will
start up after the evaluation period (to make you buy the software I
suppose) -

You might also try Mozilla/Firefox which allows you to select the
choice of encoding if the browser doesn't recognise the method of
encoding.
