A technique used on the old Atari ST was to lift it up about 2 feet and
slam in down on a flat surface .
Not in a way to destroy it - a firm gentle slam for want of a better
description .
If memory serves it reseated the chips without opening it up & believe
it or not it did sometimes work if the heat build up had dislodged the
chips slightly .
Dont blame me if it makes it worse or fucks it up of course :-)
