Which is where software like NJStar is useful, no need to reboot. Or
use the conversion of the encoding if they work.

You should be able to get versions with English subtitles, then you
won't have the problem of different encoding. I watched Spirited Away
in Japanese with no subtitle, don't understand a word of Japanese, but
the film isn't hard to understand anyway.

Can't stand dubbed film. Won't watch it at all.
