I'm also looking at these things on two actual television monitors -- a 9"
JVC broadcast monitor and a 19" Toshiba television (the latter has less
accurate color -- I use it to get a sense of how it will look on my friends'
televisions). My computer monitor has its gamma adjusted for Photoshop, so
it makes a pretty lousy video monitor. The kind of banding errors described
in the article should be pretty noticeable on the 19", as should copied
fields.
