It does of course depend on the quality of the two monitors used. They may
have been the same but were they both capable of showing the full quality of
HD 1080i? Most LCD and Plasmas currently can't as their native resolution is
less than 1920X1080
If it was a CRT then it needs to be big to see the benefit.
So although current consumer display devices don't show 1080i off to it's
best that will change and making calls on quality required based on what can
be seen today won't be valid in a year or two.
