I got one of those and it refuses to play any of my Special Edition box set
DVDs. It's fine with my ex-rental single disc films and some of those 1
DVDs you see in pound shops...I tried to fool it with my Lord of the Rings
ten disc SE, by putting the discs in the 'theatrical release' cover before
bringing it in the room, and it was OK for a while but as soon as some
'extra footage' started, a message came up 'non-Value disc detected. Please
remove'.
