Nobody wants to pay (much) for a video that was shot over someone's
shoulders...especially with the shoulders in the shot. What the pushy
guy in the OP said 'was' true. People will forget the momentary
distraction IF the video is of high quality.
Of course, there's a sliding scale of annoyance which will be tolerated.
You don't want to make yourself (as in the OP's example) such a
nuisance that you totally wreck the actual event itself. Doing so
(especially if either the bride or the groom disagreed with the choice
of video contractor) may contribute to a beautiful recording of the
beginning of a failed marriage.
