You can get a CD player that will play MP3 CD's. These players are as
portable as existing CDA players and only slightly more expensive, and
will play MP3 files saved on CD-R's as data discs. Each CD-R will hold
about 700mb worth of data, which translates to hours of recorded sound.
Also, such disks should be playable in any DVD player much as VCD's
are.
