Hello!
We have $3,000. I hope to make this an educational thread about the
best way to build a high-def editing machine on a budget.
Let's build the ultimate PC for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 for editing HD
(High Def).

What's the best route? Feel free to share other online stores/sources.
What pitfalls should we look out for? Is a dual-core processor enough,
or should we go with dual processors or dual xeons?
Are 7200 RPM SATA drives fast enough? Or will we need faster?
What kind of capture card do we need for HD? Will it go over USB 2.0
or firewire?
What kind of video card do we need?
How much would this all cost if we built the equivalent system with an
apple computer?
