First thing... do you have any odd media filters installed on your
system, such as FFDShow?
Second, do you have the latest version of SonicStage?
First thing I'd recommend trying is in FFDShow, to make sure that your
system is using the typical Fraunhofer MP3 decoder and not some other
engine.
