It could be that the sound system has actually failed, and that it just
happened to occur at the time you were playing the DVD in question. I
say this because I can't imagine how any DVD (other than a firmware
revision DVD) could have this effect.
The kinds of activities that reset DVD players and similar devices are:
Unplug it from the mains for a while, then plug it back in.
Do the above, but hold down a certain button (or buttons)on the front
panel - or the remote - while plugging it back in.
Go into the menus and find where the sound can be turned on or off (or
its volume controlled). This is not really a reset, of course.
If no one who actually *knows* this model comes up with a good answer,
then try Google or the manufacturer's support site.
