His point is, many people are unwilling to help those that blatantly
ignore the accepted protocols (netiquette so to speak) of these groups.
Those protocols are there for a reason. Even though I am going a bit
against them myself by using OE, at least I am neither top posting nor
posting HTML. Learn some Usenet history, follow the rules, be polite
( which is one of the rules), and people will be more apt to help you.
Then again, there might be someone that will help you anyway. Which of
course means you won't learn the lesson of the proper use of newsgroups.
Kind of a "spare the rod, spoil the child" situation. So to speak.
