XLR for "balanced audio" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balanced_audio

My Behringher mixer has 2 XLR jacks for input. You'd probably have to
feed the audio via a mixer and the video direct - I can't think that
I've seen any consumer DVD recorders with these inputs.
