Thou I only own a couple of DVD's I do frequently rent
them and with this comes the problem of scratched up
disks due to other earlier users treating them like crap.
I have a Sony DVP-NS300 player that's a few years
old and I've noticed that it's become more and more
"schizophrenic" about the condition of the DVD's I try
to play in it.
The player frequently gives an "insert disk" error message
even thou the disk appears to be in perfect condition, (even
after the disk has been cleaned) while other times it has no
problems with rental disks that have all kinda scratches and
smudges.
Needless to say this is very annoying and I'm planning on
buying a new DVD player.
I'm looking for a low cost player (under $100) that will
simply play the movie without screwing up, additional
bells & whistles would only increase the cost and I'd
never end up using them.
So which DVD player would y'all recommend as being
the best suited for playing _rental_ DVD's that are usually
in poor condition?
