Hasting's (music/video store) here used to have a computer terminal
that wasn't online, but you could enter in a band's name or a film
name or whatever and pull up a brief review and it would also display
whether or not the store currently had it in stock (and if they
didn't, there was also a button where you could request it to be
special-ordered).
But for some reason, they got rid of it a few years back and it's
never returned. Something like that setup seems like it'd be great
for the average video store, though.
