no sound on playback after ripping cassette tape

Posted by paulgutleber@comcast.net on 09/21/06 03:44

I have no sound on playback after ripping a cassette tape, I have tried
nero media player and CDex , I have the tape deck going to line in on
the computer and a stereo hooked up to the line out and I get the sound
through the speakers .After i record a song I will look at the file and
it is about 1 meg of data per minute in the file. but when I go to
play the song there is nothing ,
..On window media player the playing time is corect ,compared to the
actual time it took to record the song. I use the scope on WMP and it
is a straight line. nero does the same thing
I am lost to what it is. I have tried different settings on DCex but am
not having any luck at all
These tapes are inportant ,they are demo tapes that have never been
released and are showing signs of deteration from 1990. any help would
be welcomed
