Richard and Rick,
Red One a modular system with companion storage. To quote directly from the
manufacturer's website / description:
"RED ONET is a modular design that easily accepts upgrades in hardware,
software, storage, handling and monitoring accessories. "
Their "Red-Drive" hard disk (in 40 - 160 GB sizes) and their "Red-Flash"
solid state storage (in 32 - 128 GB sizes) attaches directly.
Regarding my use of the term "camcorder"....I'll let Wikipedia provide the
definition:
A camcorder is a portable electronic device (generally a digital camera) for
recording video images and audio onto a storage device. The camcorder
contains both camera and recorder in one unit, hence its portmanteau name.
This compares to previous technology where they would be separate."
This is exactly what Red One is........
I find the dismissive nitpicking of words to be childish and, more
important, very inaccurate.
