I had one. It was returned because it couldn't maintain the audio sync
during a long recording session. The longer the session the more
the out of sync condition accumulated. This problem is inherent to
all because these cheap ILO units lack the electronic circuit that
keeps things in sync. I can't remember the term that describes that
circuit. Copied VHS taped came out very washed out. Firmware won't
correct these problems.
I replaced the unit with a Panasonic and the difference was night and
day.
