Hey, all.

I have the Oppo OPDV971H. I am using a Toshiba 52" widescreen TV.

I have the player connected to the TV via a DVI-HDMI cable - actually
it's a DVI-DVI cable with a DVI-HDMI coupler on the end I connect to
the player.

So everything works a treat. But I notice that when I'm playing disks -
and it seems to be with DVDs and AVIs that I've burned - there is a
*very* faint dark line running across the screen, almost exactly
halfway up. It's maybe 3mm thick. It's only noticeable if the image is
a solid color.

I switched the cabling to component, and I see no such line.

I'm not sure what to make of this. I thought I'd see if anyone else out
there with the Oppo player can see this when they use DVI.

The cable I bought was admittedly fairly cheap, but I'm reluctant to
drop the $40 or so it would take to get a really good DVI cable just to
find out that the issue is in my player, or in my TV.
