Yes.
PAL and NTSC.
I popped their RW disc in the player and it said it couldn't play it.
Same thing with two different players. In my PC it was fine, buton my
small screen in an office - didn't want to pile everyone into my home
office andhave them stare at a 18 inch monitor.
