Woo Paik (now a VP at LG) and General Instrument made HDTV, and
regardless of the fact that several others were "in" the consortium,
it was ONLY general instrument's implementation that got adopted, and
it was General Instrument that made it DIGITAL, when the others wanted
an analog schema.
Shows just how little you really know about it.
Just so you know... I was there... AT General Instrument, at the
time it occurred.
