Would you mind naming the DVD? I'm finding this thread confusing in
that every DVD which I have where English is the spoken language, the
English language subtitle track appears as closed captions (in that it
contains descriptive text in addition to spoken text) and it is listed
among the subtitles.
I have a few DVDs in which I'd appreciate having a CC track, but none
has been found by examining with typical PC software tools nor playing
with typical player programs.
Since CC is an analog standard, I've no idea how it could be present
on a digital DVD without the DVD player's knowledge - how would the
info get to the blanking interval without the DVD player doing so?
