 I made a mistake.  <sigh>  Sorry for the confusion.
 
 I went back to the same Wal-Mart (NW Freeway) and examined what they had...
 carefully this time.  The shelf labels were messed up and two non-Polaroid
 units were stacked in the Polaroid space turned sideways so that I could not
 see their brand labels.  They were in fact Philips recorders (DVDR3455H/37)
 for $298.
 
 I knew something was wrong, as you noted... no website had anything about a
 Polaroid 160GB unit!
 
 I was also surprised to see that the DRM-2001G units they had in stock had
 serial numbers beginning with B06...
 
 Bob, you have this Polaroid unit, right?  How are you liking it?
