 Found the manual online:

 put the model # in and search.
 
 Only thing I could see that might help is if you selected the wrong format
 ( NTSC/PAL) machine will display "no disc" message and they say to hold the
 pause/step button for more than 5 seconds and you will be able to select a
 system. The other thing to try is to connect it to the TV using a different
 connection....try a standard video ( yellow) connection to the TV. If your
 using the HDMI connection that can be   troublesome on some TV's. How have
 you connected it to the TV?
