Hi
I have just bought one of these

I can't seem to get my surround sound speaker to work correctly. I have
plugged them into the correct ports but can only hear the sound very faintly
even with the volume turn up full on the dvd player.
Should this work or should I have an amp or something plugged in between the
speaker and the DVD player.
I have altered the type of audio output from SPDIF OFF to SPDIF RAW and to
SPDIF PCM.
I have also altered the speaker setup to LT/RT,STEREO,VSS,5.1CH but none of
these seem to help ( not that I know what they are!)
anyone help me out?
