Years ago I was highly amused how some golden-eared acquaintances would
praise analog vinyl sources and strongly condemn any tone controls and/or
equalizers, until I pointed out the non-defeatable, RIAA ~40 dB (!)
equalizers hard-wired into their phono preamps.
