Nah, it's cool. Don't bother. I don't think they'd show up well enough
to show anything useful -- and nobody would believe you didn't
deliberately mess with them, anyway.
What I would recommend you do, if you *really* want to test your
cables and quash your naysayers, is to have somebody run a
double-blind test for you. You don't even have to report the results
here. But get somebody to hide the brands, mark 'A' on one cable and
'B' on another, and then get somebody else to swap the cables for you
(so you can't see the cables, only the picture). Pick the cable you
prefer. You have a 50% chance of picking the cable you like better,
anyway. Next, put one of the cables back, and see if you can tell
whether it's 'A' or 'B'. That is much more difficult.

Keep in mind, that's testing *analog* componentry, and *still* there's
no discernable difference!
