What does WMP say about duration of the re-encoded mp3? Have you tried another player,
such as WinAmp? What should the actual duration be? WMP (which version?) could be the
one having problems with VBR. Maybe it's both WMP and the Tevion.

Good luck with VBRFix. Let us know which combination of options worked.
