That should be enough for figuring out that he means lines of horizontal
resolution, and not the number of scanlines. Normal video cameras do not
differ in the number of scanlines they record. Vertical resolution of
video cameras is hardly ever discussed (and "450 lines" would not make
any sense if it meant scanlines.)

But horizontal resolution _was_ what he meant. I think you assumed the
other way around. :)

(Hint: "horizontal resolution" is not the same thing as the number of
[horizontal] scanlines.)
