I'm getting a bit confused here, browsing thru some old posts.
My problem is: i'm stuck with a Panasonic AJ-D250 deck, which is
DVCPRO, and i need to capture material from miniDV tapes, to use with
an NLE. I don't really want to use the analog option, and the deck's
got this addon called AJ-YAD250, which has a 9pin RS232 port and 3
ports labeled DVCPRO, which look like standard firewire to me. So i
take my adapter, insert the miniDV tape, it plays it, but the computer
doesn't see a thing on firewire.
So, i'm the one doing something wrong, or the DVCPRO deck won't play DV
tapes for me using IEEE1394?
