I have a Panasonic DVD-RAM/VCR dual recorder and use it to record off of the
STB - however I have never bothered to see if the STB will control the DVD
part of the recorder - if time allows will take a look at it.
I agree tech support sucks - my remote died - called support to order a new
one - was told they are not available and I would need to get one off of
eBay. . .
