Hi, I was thinking about moving to a "higher quality" format than mp3(I guess thats debatable but hey) for my future audio collecting for
 reasons of quality/surround sound etc.

I am not quite an audiophile (I rip my stuff at ~256 VBR) but I am a
bit type A about the organization of my collection and really
appreciate the insane amount of information that can be stored in MP3
tags and the organization that those tags allow for.

I am under the impression that not many formats out there (other than
mp3 & AAC?) support embedded images which is something I *really* like.
I am hoping I am wrong so I will ask: Are there any other formats that
support embedded images and higher quality audio? I am leaning towards
AAC but its kind of limiting in that it isn't really supported on
many (stock) players other than ipods (which I am not a fan of) and
doesn't *seem* to support as much
