Check out the Vista newsgroups, it really is better to have a Full intall
DVD of Vista rather than an upgrade. For a start, you must have a valid
install of XP or 2000 to use the upgrade - it no longer relies on using
qualifying previous version media during the setup phase. XP must be
activated too for it to work. And using this method does not allow you to
format partitions etc. A lot of people will get caught out with this next
year.
Fairly widespread info around if you look in the right places :-)
