I don't know if you've gotten your answer by now, but I believe it can
be used as an extra drive. If you go to Sandisk's website, they should
have downloadable guides in .pdf format. The E200 series has a
variable USB connection setting - you can set it for either MTP (Media
Transfer) which treats the Sansa as a player. Using MSC (Mass Storage)
turns the Sansa into an add-on drive.
