FCP up till 4.0 was quite crash-prone, but you know that. From 4.5 on, it
got heaps better, and didn't crash that much. And if it didn't crash, you
could not save the project-files once you were finished :-)) (happened more
than crashing actually). I am sure that all these bugs are fixed by now.
FCP gets better, but I don't like it's user-interface. If you don't know
about that you can simply change your short-cut key layout, you will be
stuck in very basic & frequent functions which need 2 or 3 modifier-keys to
perform. Talk about getting cramps in your fingers :-))
I am just a plain old Avid-head, but I am not stuck to it forever. I use
other programs too, if they work better for a certain project.
