Ie., Disney said that they only ramped up their originally one-a-year
Platinum Edition schedule to two per year because they were listening to
industry hysteria that "something would replace" DVD by the 2011 time
they were finished with all ten titles, and they didn't want to be stuck
with half their catalog unreleased--
As it so happens, they'll be just in time to intially hi-def remaster
their next Platinum restorations (and cycling around to "Snow White"
again, since Beauty, Lion and Aladdin already had hi-def remasterings
for IMAX) for the next video-consumer format. What (ahem) ever that
may turn out to be.
