How are you encoding your video? Which CODEC are you using?
Quicktime is an awesome player.. However, it doesn't come preinstalled
with Windows, and unless there's a serious reason why, the average PC
user is not going to understand that they need to install Quicktime, and
some don't want to install it.
Are these clips public or private?
How about placing your clips on YouTube? Or anyone of 100 of these new
YouTube type websites that are out now. YouTube uses Flash to
distribute videos. Flash is one plugin thats on near 98% of all
computers, even linux.
If privacy is a concern, maybe you can build your own website that
placing Flash (.FLV) videos on it, and you can control access. That way
you just give your friends a link to it, and not take up 1 gig email
sent to them.
Just a few thoughts.
