As much as I love my HD-DVD player, and as much as I want HD-DVD to
smush Blu-Ray, the truth is that he's absolutely right. DVD is still
the de facto format and neither of the high-def formats has made enough
inroads or generated significant interest to matter much. As he said,
come back in a couple of years and we can pick up from there.

You will (maybe) notice that I said "Sony" and "Blu-Ray" trolls. (In
a.g.v.x., we have been able to count reliably on the likes of Blig
Merk, JDrozen, and Mr. Impressive to serve in that capacity.) From
your participation in your thread I would conclude you're not a troll,
just an HD-DVD partisan, and until now, someone I was inclined (as an
HD-DVD consumer) to side with. So, in a sense, would Zackman, when
presented with an argument about the almighty importance of Blu-Ray in
the PS3 experience.
