Yup - as I said - a TYPO.

Only some of the players showed both fields - most showed 1 field
at a lower resolution.

The first free-frame - that stored both fields and played them back
at full resolution was the industrial 8000. And as you said
the high end players did too. My LD-W2 - two disk - that played 4
sides in order - had a digital memory that did this.
Good players were not cheap.
