Hi, all.

I have some .avi files that I'd like to be able to burn onto a DVD so
I can play it on my standalone DVD player that's hooked to my
television.

I've tried burning the files to a "video CD" using Nero, and that
played fine on my computer but my standalone DVD player doesn't
recognize it. It reads the disc but just gives me a black screen.

Today I tried converting the files from .avi to .vob and burning to a
DVD using Cucubus software. Windows Media Player crashed when it
tried to play that.

I'm at a loss here. What's the easiest way to do this?
