Your home DVD player needs to support DivX or Xvid files to start with. If
it doesn't then all you can do is to convert them to formal DVD format using
a DVDauthoring program like ConvertXtoDVD etc.

It probably would be cheaper to buy a new DVD player that supports DivX
(avi's) than go through the time consuming conversion process then all you
have to do is copy the avi's as DATA onto a blank DVD-R etc
