I remember issues getting simple 2Mb/s coax ethernet cards up on old
286 and 386 Compaqs in a simple peer to peer network that was only
about 5 nodes. Pretty sad chore just getting into their stupid cases.
But they didn't radiate at least! (likely because it was left OFF so
often)! :-]
I'm sure glad the world has learned why standardization in certain
industries is a good thing.
If only Sony hadn't reverted to the same old tired stupidity that has
hampered industry as well as progress for decades.
Damned shame we let them buy up the studios and record companies
too. I'd rather have seen Ted Turner have them, and I don't like him
either... or his troop endangering wife.
