Players under $50? Well, it took DVD over six years to get down to
that. And Blu-ray players actually debuted as much more expensive than
DVD players (DVD players debuted at $500-$1000, Blu-ray debuted at
$800-$1000).
So, maybe 2011, if you're lucky.
