In fact, the latest press-release for HD, mixing Toshiba's price-drop
with Universal's year-long schedule (even though they advertise titles
like "Oscar-winning Dreamgirls!" which are also coming out on Blu)
starts out with "Not so fast, Blu-Ray!", as if it's now considered rare
that something would compete:

Which makes the conventional wisdom pretty clear that Blu-Ray's being
treated as the Hillary Clinton of the Home-Theater Wars:
Nobody wants it, not even its own audience, but they're all gritting
their teeth because they think they can't do anything to stop the
backroom-deal marketing juggernaut. -_-
