I have a Mac G3 running 10.3.9 currently. I swapped out my CDRW with a
Pioneer DVR 106D DVRW. I burned a couple of DVDs at a friends house on
a Mac using Toast on his DVR 109D. Mounted fine on his machine. When I
got them home and tried to read on my DVR 106D it doesn't mount on
desktop not when I try on another Mac with a built in CDDVD Read only
drive. The media is Memorex 16X DVD+R. I was told thids media was
backwards compatable with slower drives and it did work fine on my
friends. I have no burning software on my Mac as it is supposed to have
its own. I really need the data on these CDs. What can aI do to get my
machine to mount them? BTW, I did put in one of my kids DVDs and it
mounted fine, so it is not the drive! And CDs also mount fine. I used
PatchBurn to get the Mac to recognize the drive but it is supported by
Apple and PatchBurn wasn't even necessary!
