Motion is part of FC Studio so no one is going to be hacked off that it
can be accessed through FCP quite the opposite.
The upgrade of Motion itself looks well worth the upgrade price. I also
found out that Final Touch now called Color was $25,000. I heard it was
a buggy piece of software but still a $25k piece of software being given
away with FCP is good news. How many of the bugs remain I'm we'll find
out soon enough. :)
I think the introduction of the AJA IO-HD box is a very interesting
development. In-Out anything HD/SD for $3500 is a bit of a bargain to
be honest. The whole package makes an Avid Adrenaline system look very
poor value for money. For small to medium size outfits FCS2 and the Aja
box is a great leveler.
I have just ordered the upgrade (£329) and will give a non-fanboy
review-lette when I get it. The Apple demos look very good BUT don't
they always! Reality outside the Jobs Distortion Field can be somewhat
different.
