If you rip with itunes, it puts this stuff in the comment field, and you
cannot remove it with Windows XP (though you can remove it with various
tag editors). I assume it encodes your ripped file with your itunes
serial number and registration information. (Since that is what I would
do if I were Apple.) If you value anonymity, you can use a different
ripper, especially an open-source one.
