My suggestion is the ipod shuffle. When these first came out I didn't
think they were a good idea due to the lack of a visible interface. I
couldn't have been more wrong. I do a lot of cycling, running and
snowboarding and I love my shuffle for those activities.
It is small, holds 15 hours of music and keeps a charge forever it
seems. The software side of the house is amazing as well. Another
dilemma I had was that I assumed I would constantly have to edit
playlists to keep them fresh. I have one big playlist with all high
energy songs geared towards working out. Within itunes you can choose a
function called autofill. Autofill simply fills your ipod at random from
whatever playlist you choose. So when I get tired of the songs I just
click autofill and that gives me a fresh playlist in about 5 minutes.
At $75.00 I personally don't see how you can beat it for the purposes
you want. You can clip it to anything as well. Hope this helps.
