I'm completely new here, but one tool to do what Dave was talking about
(re-recording the audio, but completely inside the computer with
multiple audio streams and at an accelerated rate) is Tunebite
http://tunebite.com/en/remove_drm/premium/index.html

I've used it before with success, but it's a pain to have to pay an
extra $25 to use the music that you already paid for...
