That proves nothing beyond all doubt but your own stupidity.
It isn’t called “proper stereo.” It’s called “left-right stereo.”
Joint stereo gives you better sound quality than left-right stereo at
the same filesize, or the same sound quality at a smaller filesize. It’s
better than left-right stereo.

No. Joint stereo is better than left-right stereo. Better media is no
reason to use a crappier encoding method at higher bitrates. If you
really want to do that, you can always use Layer 2 instead of Layer 3…
there are plenty of things you can do in more primitive ways just
because you decide it’s better.…
